Last week I spent quality time back home in the Netherlands. Since I moved to Copenhagen, spending time with friends and family seems to be more exclusive. But because of my work in Rotterdam, I’m still able to visite home often.
Thanks everyone for having me over! I would like to share a few pictures with you. Everytime the mussels are in season, my dad invites me to eat them together. An offer I can’t refuse. And as a dessert, we had home grown raspberries.
After a week full of rain, we were lucky to encounter a perfect summer night on which we went to see Leonard Cohen in Denmark. The concert took place at the Kings Park in Odense, right in the open air. For more than 3,5 hours, the band gave us all they had and even more. Everything that happened on stage was in perfect harmony and made you feel peaceful. Leonard Cohen singing ‘Halleluja’ on his knees was unforgettable, but the backup vocals and musicians’ solos also made a great impact. After saying goodbye with a yoga style bow Namaste, the band gave us a full extra hour of magic music.
A unique birthday party lead us to an amazing food experience. As soon as we arrived at Noma, the entire kitchen staff was there to welcome us. They served us a 20 course dinner…. it was a journey teaching us about the Nordic kitchen.
